Fuel Rails
Ok her we go
The distance from the top of the manifold and the inner most injector boss is a little less than 3.5 inches.
Next picture is the bottom of the manifold s injector bosses
The measurements for the steps starting with the biggest going to smallest are 7/32, 3/8, and 1/4. I am wondering if I can enlarge the injector bosses to 7/32 so that the injectors will fit without damaging the manifold?
Here is a picture of the injector inserted in the manifold
I fits great a very tight seal a little hard to get in but it went with a little lubricant.
Here I did a mock up out of some wood I had laying around
Those engineering classes finally came in handy.
I also have some questions on the fuel inlet diameter I thought of using a 1/2 to -6an fitting but the inside diameter is only 1/4 inch is that enough fuel flow for the rails.
Let me know what you think. Damn it I am a construction worker if I can do this in one day what is the hold up? You should all know what I mean.
The above picture is the mock up that I did. Ok here is the problem with thist as the injectors are place at aprox a 40 degree angle the tops would overlap each other by about a .5 inch to each other. The only way I could get the rail to fit correctly was to remove a half of an inch off of the top. I think I have come up with a soulition but I would need to see for sure.
